Hey Kansas City, we need you.

Here it is. Kansas City has joined the Egotist Network. The first question we have to answer is, why? And the answer is simple. The Egotist network is a place where creative people go to find creative news, inspiration and ideas. They also find jobs there. Kansas City is burgeoning creative hot spot. There’s a lot going on here. A thriving art scene, a growing culinary epicenter, one of the largest collections of indie ad agencies in the country. Why wouldn’t we want to show that off? And there hasn’t been a place to do that until, well, now.

But first, here are a couple of things to note though. This is not a gossip rag. This is not written by opportunists. This is not going to be a one-sided blog. The hope is to catch art and creativity in action, and the only way to do that is for every body to chip in.

So, here’s where you come in. If you go out to First Friday’s and you see some amazing art — snap a picture and send it us. If you’re an ad agency with a cool new campaign — send it to us. If you’re a photographer with a new website — send it to us. If you’re a chef with a new menu — send it to us. And most importantly if you want to get involved with Kansas City Egotist all you have to do is drop a line.

This is for the creative community by the creative community. It is what we make it.
